TTV folks confirmed for assholes.

What’d they do?

They sat in the Flickr voting poll and waited until 11:59EST (which is technically when the contest ended) and all voted for the MOC I had finally established a lead over to guarantee I lost the contest. In the span of thirty seconds it went from 20 votes for me and 19 votes for the other MOC to 20 for me and 25 for the other MOC. They had all been sitting in the topic for a good half hour just waiting.

out of curiosity, what proved this? were they really dumb enough to not even bother being logged in anonymously while doing it?

god i hope kahi wasn’t one of the people involved we haven’t talked in ages but he’s always been a decent guy and i’ve never really understood why he’s still with the ttv crowd

Nah, I wasn’t on for it, so I didn’t take part in it. I do want to clear some stuff up, though. There’s a bunch of stuff being thrown around in the notes here, so I’m going to post what I’ve heard:

Me and the rest of most of the crew generally work on Skype. We spend a lot of time in call, working on scripts, animations, or just hanging out or playing video games. That’s kind of important, because that means that for all intents and purposes, we’re kind of in the “same room”.

There was a tweet made by BZPower that said, I believe, “Will you be the tiebreaker?” or something like that. Whoever was checking the TTV Twitter (Meso or Var?) at that point saw that and mentioned it to everyone else. So yeah, everyone did technically go and vote at the same time, and I guess that does count as a “concentrated effort”, but it wasn’t planned or anything like that.

Now, I’m not going to lie, the fact that so many votes were made for the tiebreaker does look pretty suspicious. I can’t really defend that, I guess? I mean, I don’t think you can view which MOC had how many votes before you vote, but then again, someone could have just voted and then immediately told everyone else which MOC was in front. So, yeah.

From what I’ve been told, everyone just voted for the MOC they liked the most (and knowing TTV, it was probably some discussion on which one to choose beforehand, which is why it’s all for the same set). It was only after they had voted it was realized that the tiebreakers were actually DV’s MOC and the MOC they’d decided on. Because of some…stuff that had been said about us on the blogs, they did think it was pretty hilarious (and I’m not going to lie, I think that was pretty ironic too). That’s when the tweet was made.

I wasn’t there, nor in everyone’s head, so I can’t deny that DV’s “interaction” with the crew might have made them biased as to not vote for him. That’s probably what happened, to be honest. And I’m not going to say that others aren’t glad that DV lost either, because we were a little pissed off at it.

But if you’re thinking that it was planned and that everyone deliberately waited for the last minute just to screw DV over, then no, that wasn’t it. You guys are right, it does look really suspicious. I can’t argue with that.

And I guess some people will probably still think that it was on purpose after reading this, and I can get that. This isn’t a really convincing argument, and this all looks waaay too convenient. I mean, it just so “happens” to be the MOC everyone chose was the one tied with DV, especially right after he’s spent the last few days arguing with everyone on TTV? I get it.

Was the tweet in poor taste? Yeah, it was. But I can’t say that I’m necessarily mad about it either. I’ve read some stuff by DV that I thought was in poor taste. I know that two wrongs don’t make a right, but I also can’t say I thought it was pretty funny when I first heard about it. Wish I could say I was a better person about it, but that was my honest reaction to it.

To everyone else on these notes, I kind of really hates how this sounds like a bunch of excuses or just like a PR coverup or something like that. I don’t mean it to, and I try to stay out of a lot of “drama” that ends up going between BZP and us.

But Holstey called me out, so I wanted to clear up what I know. I do honestly care about how TTV comes off to people in the fandom; these guys are my coworkers and my friends. I get that we can’t please everyone, but I have seen some legitimate concerns recently from people about how we report things, or the stuff we’ve put in videos.

If you legitimately want to address those issues, I’m sincerely all ears. Honestly, I don’t want lies on the channel. If we have said stuff that just plain isn’t true or infactual, then let me know so I can push for a retraction video. We’re not always right, and I bet that we’ve probably gotten a lot of stuff wrong, but all I’ve seen before is “TTV spreads information” but no actual mention of what misinformation we’re spreading. I want to hear them, really.

I suspect that these complaints have probably gone on for a while, I’ve honestly only been seeing public remarks recently. I’m always open to talk about how to make the channel better, and getting facts wrong doesn’t help anyone.

Reblogging this here in case no one was paying attention to Kahi the first time because apparently people have been fucking BANNED now for doing something that wasn’t technically unfair even if it was intentional

Nice overreaction BZP

Oh, something I wasn’t told/wasn’t aware of last night; Entry 10 belonged to Lord Oblivion, who’s a pretty good friend of ours. I guess technically that does count as bias towards him, but I guess I want to emphasize that it wasn’t by complete coincidence that we chose the one entry that happened to be going up against DV.

I really don’t care what kind of blogs you have, This deserves a reblog

man the last image really got me..

The second to last really killed me.

A simple thing we see frequently on the Internet being put into the perspective of real life.

The last one put me to tears all I can think is my grandpa and how much I miss him

I don’t advocate war but the I have a lot of love for the victims of it. These put things into perspective.
